CAMPO DEL CIELO METEORITE from Gran Chaco Gualamba, Argentina. Weight is 2.58 pounds which is 1,178 grams.
Discovered in 1576 but thought to have fallen to earth about 4000-6000 years ago. The meteorite is predominanly Iron with 6.62% nickel. It is a coarse Octahedrite with silicate inclusions. Great specimen for displaying in your office or living room. This specimen is 4 X 3 1/2 X 2 inches- nice display size. Own a piece of the Universe!
